What may the future hold?

       Finance

  • Budget- $250,000,000 estimated
  • box office-$1.081,041,287
      marketing
  • the trailer was split in to 3 parts each being released one after the other.
  •  As part of a buzz-driving marketing campaign for the final installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Warner Brothers announced the trailer on the film's website, telling fans that in order to see it, they had to help the Gotham City Police Department locate Batman by tracking down hundreds of pieces of graffiti from around the world. For every piece of graffiti that a fan found and tagged on social media, Warner Brothers unlocked a frame of the trailer.

The Dark Knight Rises was produced by Legendary Pictures (with Warner Bros), distributed by Warner Bros and directed by Christopher Nolan. The distribution of a film includes:the release strategy and the marketing strategy. this film had on of the most elaborating marketing strategies to date. Warner Bros made use of all kind of media and without ''cross media convergence'' this strategy would not have been successful. cross media convergence ensures that the film reaches the widest possible audience.
www.ibelieveinharveydent.com was the first of a long line of websites dedicated to generating interest in The Dark Knight.

fast food franchise 'Burger King' linked up with 'The Dark Knight' to produce a burger named the 'Dark Whopper'- this followed with a series of adverts of Burger King ''customers'' doing bad things branding the words ''bring out your dark side'' to coincide with the films name. the fast food franchise also designed a kids menu which came with a free toy of different characters from the film such as 'batman' & 'the Dark Knight'.

Warner bros also sold official merchandise.

Warner Bros sold t-shirts, toys, costumes, nightwear, action figures, phone accessories                                                              and MUCH MUCH MORE!

The Bourne Series - The Bourne Identity, The Bourne supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Bourne Legacy

1-Blockbusters have very simple story lines that are easy to understand and have universal appeal.
The bourne series focuses on one man,Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), trying to find out who he is and what he is. The series is about one mans journey of discovery and effort to stay alive and protect him self and his lover. In the last movie we look at at different character, Aarron Cross (Jeremy Renner) who is on the same path as Jason Bourne and we look at the first part of his journey.

2-Blockbusters are populated by characters who are very easy to understand.
The character of Jason Bourne is a confused man who doesn't know he true identity, in the first film, and is a man with little compassion, however he was deeply in love with his girlfriend Marie Kerutz (Franka Potenet), who dies in the second film, after her death he becomes full of hatred to the people who made him who he is.He just wants revenge. Though the character has a slightly complex psychological condition, amnesia, he his still easy to understand and the condition is easy to see.

3-Blockbusters are marketed just on their 'look'.
The films are full of guns, fast cars, explosions and near death experiences,

4-Blockbusters become a brand.

film production values

what are film production values?

explain why these are important to both producers and audiences?

Is there a difference between British film production values and american film production values ??

Film production companies.

A production company essentially helps to create the film- its assists in the budgeting, scheduling, scripting, casting and more. The company usually looks over the film from when its just an idea to completion. They are responsible for finding a director an the majority of acting talent required. however they are also responsible if any thing were to go wrong on the film. for example an actor being injured or property being damaged.

An independent film is a professional film production resulting in a feature film that is produced mostly or completely outside of the major film studio system.

In addition to being produced and distributed by independent entertainment companies, independent films are also produced and/or distributed by subsidiaries of major film studios. Independent films are sometimes distinguishable by their content and style and the way in which the filmmakers' personal artistic vision is realized. Usually, but not always, independent films are made with considerably lower film budgets than major studio films. Generally, the marketing of independent films is characterized by limited release, but can also have major marketing campaigns and a wide release. Independent films are often screened at local, national, or international film festivals before distribution (theatrical and/or retail release). An independent film production can rival a mainstream film production if it has the necessary funding and distribution.
